Terms of Participation

for tournaments, competitions, workshops & events.

Great if you join us! Unless explicitly stated otherwise in individual cases, the following terms of participation apply to events organized by Startschuss – Queer Sport Hamburg e.V., hereinafter referred to as “STARTSCHUSS”:

  1. Registration of participants is only binding upon payment of the participation fee.
  2. A claim for participation only exists after the entire participation fees have been received. STARTSCHUSS reserves the right to exclude participation in the event of incomplete or missing payment. Costs already incurred cannot be reimbursed.
  3. Cancellation/deregistration:
    Cancellation is possible at any time. STARTSCHUSS will reimburse the participation fees paid in portions: 90% for cancellations up to 90 days before the event, 60% for cancellations up to 60 days before the event, 30% for cancellations up to 30 days before the event. This also applies to costs for supporting programme items such as party tickets, brunch, dinner, etc.
  4. Transfer fees, e.g. from abroad, are to be paid by the participants. Please take this into account when making the transfer!
  5. tournaments and events are considered public – the press is expected to attend. Photo and film coverage will also be provided by STARTSCHUSS on social media (Instagram, Facebook). By participating in tournaments or public events, you consent to the use of photos and videos by STARTSCHUSS and third parties authorised by STARTSCHUSS.
  6. the publication of private photo and film recordings of training and workshops generally requires the recognisable authorisation of the persons depicted. If you take your own private recordings, STARTSCHUSS asks the authors to ensure that all persons depicted agree and consent to the publication. Publication may require authorisation by STARTSCHUSS. Publication also includes privately used social networks such as Facebook, Whatsapp status and similar.
    We ask that persons authorised by STARTSCHUSS to take photos and film training sessions and workshops to inform on the spot if a publication is objected to.
  7. We reserve the right to make changes to the event programme.
  8. If the event or parts of the event have to be cancelled for reasons of force majeure (e.g. short-term loss of sports facilities), we cannot be held liable for any costs incurred by the participants (e.g. travel expenses).
  9. The rules on data protection of STARTSCHUSS Queer Sport Hamburg e.V. apply.
