The right training for every skill level
Welcome to the volleyball community! We train in various sports halls throughout Hamburg – in summer we even play on various beach courts. So if you’re eager to get started or aren’t sure which training session is right for you, feel free to contact us by email. The great thing is: you can train with us up to three times for free before you decide whether to become a member of Startschuss.
More than 30 years ago Startschuss’s volleyball program started initially focused on recreational sports, which increasingly became a professionally organized volleyball department that has now formed permanent teams in addition to recreational volleyball. These teams compete in the Queer Volleyball League and the HVbV league, participate in national and international tournaments, and take part in the Eurogames and Gaygames.
We ourselves have been organizing an international volleyball tournament at Easter for more than 30 years. Around 20 teams from Germany and abroad regularly come to Hamburg for the Easter Bunny Tournament. Around Valentine’s Day, there is also the club’s internal volleyball tournament TüBaTu. As you can see, there is more than one reason to come and check us out.

Trial training
Whether you have already played in a club and in a volleyball league or would like to discover this wonderful sport for the first time, we have just the right training for you! Players with no previous experience are invited to attend Volleyball 4 training, and all other players are invited to attend Volleyball 3 training. Both trainings take place on Friday. We will then assess which training is best suited to you on site.
